    Welcome to Western High School!

As Principal of Western High School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. We hope that you will find the website helpful and informative. Hopefully, the website will give you a sneak peek into WHS.

Western High School is a traditional high school with 836 students, in grades 9-12.  It is our goal to help every student feel welcomed, connected, and a part of our Panther family.  Additionally, we strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her academic abilities and to be college or career-ready by the end of four years. At Western High School, we have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to engage our students in learning.  We believe that all students should graduate from high school prepared for the demands of postsecondary education, meaningful careers, and effective citizenship.

We are very proud of our Western students, staff, alumni, and community.  These people are proof of why every day is a great day to be a Western Panther.  Our Marching Band has won 19 State Championships and our athletic programs have won numerous Sectional, Regional, Semi-state, and State Championships in individual and team play.  Last year we won the Spelling Bowl State Championship and our academic teams are among the top in the state.  Our Choir and Band students win numerous ISSMA gold ratings every year in competition and we have won the All School Music Award many times.  Our coaches, directors, and club sponsors are among the best in the state of Indiana.

I am honored to serve as the Principal of Western High School.  It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth.  Please feel free to reach out to us through email, phone, or social media.
