Welcome to Our Panther Community

At Western High School, more than 800 students in grades 9–12 come together to learn, grow, and prepare for the future. Our mission is simple: every student should feel valued, connected, and ready for what comes next—whether that’s college, career, or service to the community.

Our dedicated teachers design meaningful lessons and experiences that challenge students to reach their highest potential. We believe that every graduate should leave Western prepared for lifelong success.

Excellence In and Out of the Classroom

Western students and staff are known for achievement in academics, the arts, and athletics. A few highlights include:

• 19 State Championships from our Marching Band
• Numerous athletic titles at the sectional, regional, semi-state, and state levels
• A State Championship in Spelling Bowl and consistently high-ranking academic teams
• Choir and Band students earning ISSMA gold ratings year after year
• Multiple All School Music Awards

Behind these accomplishments are passionate coaches, directors, and sponsors who are among the best in Indiana.
